The Star puzzle
This is the easiest of all my puzzles to make, but the hardest to reassemble! I'd recommend this one for a beginner as they are fun to make, very forgiving. If you make a mistake, just make the one part over. I guess about one and a half to 2 hours each. I use a bandsaw with a 1/8" blade, though you could use a scroll saw, and a 4 inch X 36 inch stationary belt sander. This is the puzzle you make for that person who really likes puzzles, it's a tough one! Not a good gift for the very young kids, but a very interesting toy for the older and advanced kids.
Being handmade, it'll only go together one way. Jumble up the pieces... Get some of them upside down... It isn't that hard to construct, involves no carving, only sanding. I use a 4 inch X 36 inch sander and a dremel rotary tool. Also a drill press and a bandsaw with a 1/8 inch blade, I'm sure a scrollsaw would work too.If you'd rather buy one already made, just click here. If you'd rather, you can just send a check or money order, see Purchase Information below. Tell a friend about the star plan Copyright © 2003-2006 Leonard Wardle, All Rights Reserved |
