Easy to make, Pretty tough puzzle

Here are 2 of my latest,cherry wood puzzle snakes, one all together and one taken apart. These have about 36 to 38 pieces in each one. This can be a tough puzzle to put back together, notice I keep the pieces in order. These 2 were made from 1 1/4" X 1 1/4" Cherry, 28 inches long to start (the size I had on hand) If you want to make a real tough one, check out my Cobra Plans

This is my grand daughter Kathy holding one of my big cherry puzzle snakes, the plan is very easy to enlarge to the size of your hardwood. I used 1 3/4" thick cherry for this one.

Different sizes, The top and bottom snakes are maple. Harder to work but strong! I use Minwax wood hardener on my smaller puzzle snakes. Be sure to check out my how to do it Clamp Assistant

I'm also now including plans on how to make an extra long puzzle snake, this feller is about seven feet long and was made from 2 pieces of wood. You could make him from 3 or 4 pieces if you wish...

These plans run $8.95 postage paid in the USA. It isn't that hard to construct, involves no carving, only sanding. I use a 4 inch X 36 inch sander and a dremel rotary tool. Also a drill press and a bandsaw with a 1/8 inch blade, I'm sure a scrollsaw would work too. Be sure to check out my Tips and hints page, couple of good ones there.
